Though some of you may nix this post right away because “MySpace” is in the title, just bear with me and take a second look. Yes, i do have a myspace like most teenagers i know (though Facebook is slowly becoming more popular) and here’s my link: www.myspace.com/theoctopusyeah. I’m having some layout problems right now so you can’t see anything on my profile, but i’m trying to sort those out.
You will be surprised to hear that MySpace is a great source of finding unknown bands. I recently found Jamie’s Elsewhere which a friend turned me on to. This morning as i was on my friend Matt’s profile, i noticed he added a group called Sadistic Squirrels so i went to their profile and they didn’t have any songs up. Hmph. I scrolled down to their comments and saw a boy who’s name was Cookiebreed.
I clicked on the link to his profile and listened to song of his songs, and i was definitely impressed by some, not all, of them. I added him and he accepted my request and it made me happy when he left a comment on my profile (:
Myspace is how i find a lot of my favorite bands and the music section is really to use. I encourage you to try this method out, though you do have to have an account to use this.
